Beeswax & Raw Honey For Skin Care
Updated: Mar 2
Beeswax & Raw Honey are natural ingredients and have great benefits for any daily skin care routine. These are renewable ingredients that are packed with vitamins and minerals that can provide incredible attributes to products that can't be created any other way. These are both antibacterial agents and are also used to treat burns and in wound care.

WHAT DOES THE RESEARCH SAY?
A clinical trial in 2003 published in the National Library of Medicine, was created to investigate the effects of honey, olive oil, and beeswax mixture on patients with atopic dermatitis (AD) or psoriasis vulgaris (PV). The combination of these ingredients in equal parts and then used with a reduced steroid therapy saw an improvement, in fact the improvement was considered significant after 2 weeks of use. The conclusion of the study stated that the honey, beeswax, and olive oil mixture appear to be useful in the management of dermatitis and psoriasis vulgaris.
Another study published, in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology in the summer of 2018, evaluated the performance of a nature-based sensitive skin regimen to study the efficacy and tolerability for patients with sensitive skin conditions. This included products with natural oils, beeswax, and witch hazel compared to a synthetic dermatologist-recommended therapy regimen. The conclusion? The natural ingredient product used resulted in a 34% improvement from the control group, where the synthetic dermatologist-recommended therapy only saw a 4% improvement compared to the control group. Continued improvement compared to the control group at week 4. The study's conclusion, the natural ingredient product was effective, well tolerated, and superior to the traditional recommended therapy product.
While these studies and many others just like them have focused on a subset of people with a history of skin sensitivities or skin conditions, the results are clear. If beeswax and raw honey based products can show significant improvement under those conditions, the benefits of having beeswax and raw honey in your skin care routine is undeniable.
HANDCRAFTED LUXURY SOAPS
While civilization is immensely grateful for the gift of your great grandmother’s lye soap and while there is no soap without lye, we have come a long way from the lard, wood ash, and rain water mixture originally used that provided a burning sensation if everything wasn't just right. You can ask my wife's uncle about his mother’s soap, which people came from all over in an attempt to trade for, which she never traded for nothing. He still shudders at the thought of how her soap burned when he was forced to us it as a kid.
While the modern version of the old fashion lye soap is amazing and in certain communities, it may seem like everyone is trying their hand at it, it can be a truly unbee-lievable product to add to your skin care regiment. The variety of soaps made by Queen Bee Luxury Soap Co is focused a core of consistent handcrafted soaps, they are also committed to making season changes to bring fresh spring flora aromas in the late winter as spring approaches and more lively citrus varieties just in time for summer. All of the handcrafted soaps are made in small batches and always include both beeswax and raw honey.

While the too much beeswax will make the soap bar crack, just the right amount will help the bar last longer and have a mild exfoliating effect because all of the beeswax will never turn completely into soap. Natural sugars help handcrafted soaps produce large bubbles and raw honey doesn't disappoint. It doesn't take much and the Queen Bee Crafters say they have found the right amount to maximize the size of bubbles. While there can be slight differences from recipe to recipe and even different versions of the same recipe, the net result is a soap bar with larger bubbles and thicker lather.
"There are a couple of problems people express with handcrafted soaps. They don't last and aren't bubbly. At Queen Bee, we use Beeswax that makes the soap bar nice and hard and Raw Honey to make those nice big bubbles."
To truly get the most out of your luxury handcrafted beeswax and raw honey soap, these crafters always encourage their customers to use the All Natural Sisal Soap Saver. This will keep your shower soap hanging dry and really extend the life of the soap bar, in addition provide some extra lather and a gentle exfoliation sensation.
HANDCRAFTED LUXURY LOTION BARS
Lotion, while it usually comes in a bottle and is normally creamy, it can come in a solid form. Added with Organic Jojoba Oil, Raw Organic Shea Butter, Raw Natural Mango Butter and Vitamin E, the beeswax not only provides the hardness to keep the form of a delectable female honeybee but also is rich in vitamin A. It helps protect your skin and retain moisture as it creates a barrier. It is best applied to fresh new skin that can be uncovered after using a sugar scrub.
