12oz glass jar of raw, unfiltered honey made by Honeybees on the Southeast edge of the Appalachian Mountains, near South Carolina's Jocassee Gorge that forms Lake Jocassee. This area is home to a rare flower called the Oconee Bell; it is a delicate bell-shaped wildflower. Recently discovered is another rare flower named Shealy's Saxifrage, after a South Carolina Botanist. It’s white in color with yellow and red accents and can be found along the edges of slopping granite outcroppings, moss mats or in crevices. Blooms from February to May.

This is a robust, rich and complex cherry colored honey that has a warm, bold, and forward flavor that has undertones of chocolate and cherry with a hint of tartness. This honey is a great addition to oatmeal, glazed meat, peanut butter and honey sandwich, or on a charcuterie board with a bold flavor cheese.

  • Steps to recrystallize honey:

    1. Place glass jar of honey into larger class or ceramic bowl
    2. Heat a pot of water up to a temperature between 95- & 110-degrees Fahrenheit.
    3. Pour the warm water bath into the bowl and jar of honey is sitting in. Make sure the water line is above the level of honey but below the lid. (DO NOT let water splash or spill into the honey jar)
    4. Leave the jar of honey sitting in the bath, stirring occasionally, until the honey reliquefies.

Note: The length of time it takes will depend on how crystallized the honey is. Also, too much heat can neutralize the beneficial properties of raw honey. Never use heat or heated water over 120 degrees.

  • Our passion for Honeybees started with a ride on a golf cart through a friend's apiary in Piedmont, South Carolina on a sunny afternoon. We got the buzz and soon had our own hive. Our passion expanded with every season. Learning more about Honeybees and their role in the ecosystem.

It wasn't long before we were looking for other ways to help people connect deeper with nature and find different ways to bring the wonders of nature to your daily routines with handcrafted and honeybee inspired products. It started with bottling our jars of raw, delicious honey and it soon grew into crafting beeswax candles.

Each sales helps our apiary grows and allows us to continue to find homes for honeybees that take up residences in highly trafficked residential areas. It also allows us to continue to plant more native and indigenous trees and plants to increase the food sources for our pollinator communities.
